Hi, I have done B.Sc and now I want to do M.Sc. Actually I want to do it from IGNOU. I want to know Does IGNOU offer M.Sc. in Zoology? Please share it's eligibility criteria and other details.

Yes, IGNOU offers M.Sc in Zoology course through distance mode.

In order to pursue M.Sc Zoology from IGNOU, you must complete B.Sc (3 years) degree with minimum 55% marks after 10+2 with major/honours in life sciences and any other related life science discpline/Biosciences/Botany/Zoology.

IGNOU conducts an entrance examination for admission in M.Sc Zoology.

You can refer these books for the preparation of your entrance examination:

> Complete Guide M.Sc. Entrance Examination - Zoology PB (English) (Paperback). (Author - Dr. Anita Sehgal, Unique Publishers).

The fee structure is Rs. 5,000/- per semester plus other fees.

Total marks of the examination is 100 marks.
Duration is 3 hours.
No negative marking is there.

IGNOU doesn't offer M.Sc zoology or botany course. They offer M.Sc in life sciences degree course. Hence, if you are looking for zoology degree, then you need to study go for a regular course.

Open universities like IGNOU doesn't offer courses which requires daily lab work. Hence, they offer different course which have syllabus without any lab work.
