Jobs available for MSc math degree


Can I do BSc math and then MSc math. I am now giving my HSC board exam and I am very confused about my career. I like math most. I am perfect in mathematics. So, can I do BSc in math and then MSc in math, but after MSc math jobs are available or not. Please give me answer.

In order to pursue B.Sc mathematics you should have completed 12th standard with 50% marks in science stream and should have studied mathematics as one of your subjects from a recognized board. Yes, after completing B.Sc mathematics you can apply for master's degree also.

Here are some of the sectors where you can apply for jobs after M.Sc mathematics:

> Manufacturing firms

> Aerospace Companies

> Market Research Firms

> Engineering Firms

> Research and Development Firms

> Engineering Firms

> Economic Research Firms etc.

You can also get the job of a lecturer in government colleges after qualifying the NET examination and there are other government sectors also where you an apply for. So, the scope is huge and you can choose one according to your interest.

There are so many jobs available after completing M.Sc Mathematics course. You can apply for the jobs like,
  • Actuarial analyst.
  • Actuary.
  • Chartered accountant.
  • Chartered certified accountant.
  • Data analyst.
  • Investment analyst.
  • Research scientist (maths)
  • Secondary school teacher.

Job Opportunities available after completion of M.Sc in Mathematics:

As you are much interested in Mathematics subject, yes you can pursue M.Sc in Mathematics course after successful completion of B.Sc in Mathematics course.

The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for doing B.Sc in Mathematics is 12th Class from a recognized university in 10+2 pattern.

The minimum educational qualification required for doing M.Sc in Mathematics course is B.Sc in any stream from a recognized university.

After successful completion of M.Sc in Mathematics, you can find job opportunities in Private sector banks, Public Sector banks, Financial Institutions, Colleges/ Universities, MNC Companies, ISRO, DRDO...etc., as a statistician, Demographer and Analyst...etc.,
