I have done B.Sc(Non-Medical) and then B.Ed. Now, I want to do M.Sc in Mathematics. Is the value of correspondence M.Sc(Maths) is same as a regular course? Which universities are best for doing it in Punjab?

Yes, regular and correspondence course are same value if your correspondence degree is approved UGC.

If you have done it from a recognized university, then value is almost same if you are looking for government jobs. Only in private sector jobs you will face problems, if degree is of correspondence mode.

You can go for IGNOU, Panjab University and Chandigarh University to pursue this course in Punjab.

The degree is the same in both the modes. But the value is different, the regular M.Sc Mathematics candidates has an upper hand in compared to the correspondence education. If two candidates attend the interview with same qualifications, one from regular mode and the other one from correspondence mode, then the regular degree holder will be selected because he has done the education through regular course.
