Is hotel management degree necessary for Air Hostess job?
I am 12th class PCM group student and I want become an Air Hostess. Does the hotel management and tourism management necessary for airlines and swimming also and can you help me, if anywhere any institute for this where I train?

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, there is no that much necessity to pursue Hotel Management degree in order to be eligible for the post of Air Hostess. The basic eligibility criteria required to become Air Hostess is as follows,

No, hotel management and tourism management are not compulsory for becoming Air Hostess.
For becoming an Air Hostess, following are the criteria required:- The minimum educational qualification is 10+2 Candidate must know hindi, english and any other foreign language. Candidate must be unmarried Candidate's age must be under 17 years to 26 years. Candidates minimum height must be 5.2" or 157 cm. Weight is proportionate to her height. Skin complexion must be fair to clear complexion. Good Communication Skills Presence of mind Team work Ability to work for long hours Positive Attitude Pleasing Personality Frankfinn Institute in New Delhi is a very famous institute which train candidates of Air Hostess. |

No, degree of Hotel Management is not compulsory to become an Air Hostess.
Eligibility criteria are as follows:- Candidate must have completed Intermediate from a recognized university. Candidate must know Hindi, English and any other foreign language. Candidate age should be under 17 years to 26 years. Candidate must be unmarried girls but some institutes also allows married women. Minimum requirement of height should be 5.2 inch. Eye sight should be 6/9. Candidate should be physically fit and have attractive physique. Fair skin complexion. Candidate must be physically and mentally fit. Candidate must not be suffering from any major disease. Candidate must have good communication skill with pleasing personality. |

To be an air hostess, a candidate must have completed degree course in any discipline from a recognised University but degree in hotel management is preferred. You have to appear in the examination to get the job of an air hostess. You should have the knowledge of English and other foreign languages.

Yes, diploma in hotel management is the basic requirement for becoming an air hostess.
You must complete your diploma course first from any reputed Institutes. After that, you must focus on developing your additional skills like:- Fluency in English, Hindi Other requirements:- You must have an Indian passport. Your age must be below 25 years. Minimum height required is 157.5 cms. You must be unmarried with normal eyesight of 6 by 6 uncorrected vision in each eye. |

No. Actually it's not mandatory to pursue Hotel Management course at Graduation in order to be eligible for Air Hostess job. Graduation in any Hospitality or it's equivalent qualification is also accepted for Air Hostess Job.

Hotel management graduates are the best candidates for such job. There is no such criteria, that only hotel management graduates are eligible for it.
If you have good communication skills along with pleasing personality, then surely you can crack the interview. |
