How to become a tourist guide in India?


I want to make my career as a tourist guide. What exam or what course I need to do. I’m from Kolkata. Please tell me some institution or colleges. I have done my tourism degree also.

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) conducts entrance exam selecting candidates for guide training, which is a on the job training programme. You can apply for it, when there is a notification.

You can also join any tourism company, if you are interested in such field. There are many tourism and travel companies, which offer jobs to degree holders based on the performance in the interview.
