Sir/Mam, I am doing my 2nd year ECE I should know about the skills to achieve a good job in core side. Can you please guide me on the same? It will be helpful if you can provide me the details on this as soon as possible to me to start the preparation.

It is nice to see you having a career plan and striving hard to achieve it. In order to get placed in core sector, you need to have the below skills.

1. Have good grades in your B.Tech course.
2. Know the concepts well along with their practical implementation.
3. Solve a variety of questions including numerical problems.
4. Prepare for GATE and score well as many core companies call for interview on the basis of GATE score.
5. Appear in various recruitment drives of core companies to seek an opportunity.
6. Do training and internship in core sector to make your resume strong.

Skills Required for ECE candidates to get placed in Core Companies:

Before you get to know the what are the skills that are required to get job in Core Companies, I suggest you to first get the Idea on what that particular company does ? On which field does the core company mainly concentrates ? If you get all these details, it would be much easier for you to improve the skills that are basically required.

In general, the following skills are required and they basically include knowledge of CAD design, Integrate Circuit Designing, SCADA knowledge, PLC, Embedded Systems, Layout designing of PCB, Comsol, Lab view and MATLAB software's knowledge. Make sure you secure good marks throughout the academics in order to be eligible.
