Delhi University B.Tech 2nd Year Fluid Mechanics (EME-203) Papers are based on questions covering the wide range of topics taught in this course. Questions can come from a number of topics and they are mostly numerical in nature, which makes it imperative that the student must be able to translate what he or she has studied as part of theory into practical application. Topics from which questions are likely to be asked include different model laws, geometric, kinematic and dynamic similarities, laminar flow between two fixed parallel plates, finding the value of thrust when all other data like viscosity, diameter and fluid density are provided, the use of a rotating cylinder Viscometer for measuring viscosity, explanation of key terms like stagnation pressure and stagnation temperature, surface tension and capillarity, specific weight and specific gravity and so on. Pairs of terms are provided; with the students being asked to distinguish between them like compressibility and bulk modulus of elasticity, Newtonian and Non-Newtonian fluids and so on.
