The GATE Metallurgical Engineering Paper is a three hour paper comprising of 100 marks. The paper carries a total of 100 marks allotted to the 60 questions in the paper. . Questions 1 to 20 carry one single mark each while questions 21 – 60 carry two marks each. There is negative marking on the paper for each incorrect response that the candidate gives. All the questions in the paper are from the syllabus itself. Remember to mark only one answer for each question as there is only a single correct response. The paper is mainly a speed and accuracy test.
