This is an all India examination and is the key to getting admitted to the best institutions including IIT for M. Tech in mining engineering. The examination is a computer based one and is done online at the allotted centre. The total mark of the exam is 100 and there are a total of 65 questions. All the questions are objective. The test is conducted for a period of 3 hours. Each question is given four options and only one of them is correct. The last 10 questions of the paper forms an aptitude test. The first five questions in this section carry 1 mark each and the next five carry 2 marks each. Wrong answers will be penalized in both the sections.
