The Computer organization and Architecture examination for the first semester for M.Sc in IT is taken in a total of 100 marks. The pass marks for the paper is 40. The examination is held in both Hindi and English. The paper totally based on the subject and includes questions on computer, its architecture and organization. There are questions on the Neuman architecture and difference between organization and architecture. Some of the other topics that are covered are number systems, Input and output, Pipelining, Instructions and instruction cycle, memory and its organization and the various components of memory. RAM, ROM and Cache memory along with the read and write cycles of each is also covered. Registers and the addressing modes like direct, indirect and index addressing modes are there in the questions. The paper is divided into 5 parts and each part has questions to choose and consists of 20 marks each.
