The total marks of the paper are 75 and the time is 3 hours. The question paper has two sections, the 1st section has 5 questions carrying 5 marks each, out of which the student has to attempt 3 questions. In part B, there are 7 questions of 15 marks each, of which the student must answer any 4. In the second section there are essay type questions and the page limit for each question is four. Some of the questions from part A are mention the meaning of health psychology and the related fields of health psychology, explain the psychological problems of hospitalized patients, describe the various reasons for alcohol abuse, explain the Lazarus transactional model of stress, how can “quality of life” be measured etc. In the second section, the important questions are: discuss the abuse of hallucinogens and cannabis, discuss the various stress-management techniques, structure and functions of the respiratory system, and discuss the nature of patient-practitioner communication.
