I want to admit my son in 6th standard for next year in Kendriya Vidyalaya. I am not the Central Government Employee. I am working in a Private company. My son is now reading in Class 5th in an English medium school at Kolkata. So, please advice me how I can apply for admission?

Normally, in Kendriya Vidyalayas, if seats are vacant, entrance exam is conducted for admission. Most of the seats are for only government employee's wards. If seats are available, then only admission is available to civilians.

So, your son can appear for entrance exam which us usually conducted by the school itself. Some school even give admission directly, if there are not much applicants for admission.

The application form provided by kendriya vidyalay is available to all very easily but during the time of admission they first allot seat to the children whose father is gov employee after that for remaining children they allot seat according to merit.
