You can appear in JEE Main exam is only twice.

If you have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible for JEE Main exam.

Your 12th standard subject must be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

The maximum number of attempts allowed to appear in JEE Main examination is three times that too in three consecutive years after completion of 12th standard from a recognised board. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and the same examination is held by CBSE for the selection of deserving students for their bachelor of technology course from best engineering colleges such as IIT, NIT, IIIT and ISM. JEE is held in two stages which are called as JEE Mains and JEE Advance held in given order.

--> To be eligible for JEE Mains one must have senior secondary degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board of education.

--> But to be eligible for JEE Advance you must clear the JEE Mains along with that much percentage of marks in your 12th board examination so that you last among the top 20 percentile students of your respective board of examination.

--> Also your age must be within 17 years to 25 years till the final date of year in which you are appearing in the same examination.

Also to crack the same examination the maximum attempt provided is three consecutive attempts.

A candidate can appear for JEE Mains exam upto 3 times from the year of passing his/her 12th class.

** Date of Birth:

Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1990 to be considered for the JEE Main 2015.

** Year of Passing Qualifying Examination (QE):

Candidates must have passed their Class XII examination or other qualifying examination in the year 2013 or 2014

Candidates who are appearing for their Class XII examination in 2015 are eligible

A student can attempt this JEE Advance two times at maximum.

There are three attempts in JEE Mains exam. First attempt is considered in the year you appear for the 10+2 exam and next two attempts in coming consecutive years. For JEE Advanced, there are only two attempts, one in the 10+2 examination year and other in the next coming year.

JEE Examination is conducted in two parts. They are JEE main and JEE Advanced. There is a limit for attempting the examination. The number of attempts that a candidate can appear in JEE Main is maximum of three times in a consecutive years. For JEE Advanced exams the limit is 02 times in consecutive years.

Eligobility criteria-

Age limit-Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October,1990 are eligible. For ST/SC uppet age limit is relaxed by 5 years are eligible.
