Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
My son was born on 12.12.2009. What should be his age when he appears for the CBSE or ICSE examination? Will there be any challenge at the time of board examination because he will be short of 11 days for admission to LKG?

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
Hi
you can go for both board. both are good and both are prefered. however you should know the difference between the two CBSE CBSE is well known and recognized in India. Good for most competition. Run by central government. More schools follow cbse compared to ICSE. Schools are easily available so convenient even if you get transferred from one place to other. ICSE ICSE is recognized by every company, universities etc in India but less school follow it as compared to cbse. Course structure is quiet vast, practical, focused on language and personality development. All the best |

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
CBSE board gives you an advantage in the entrance exams when you appear for them after 12th.
As the entrance exams are completely based on the CBSE board textbooks NCERT. Also the ICSE board has a lot of tough topics in the book which are not there in the entrance exams and it is also tough to score high in the board exams. Thus you end up giving a lot of attention on your board exams as a result of which your performance in the entrance exams suffer. |

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
Hello.
In CBSE board there is some what tuf study in comparison to the ICSE board. In CBSE board the NCERT books are taught which also help the students to crack the entrance exam like AIEE,IIT-JEE. In ICSE board there is practical knowledge also. The coarse is fast also. CBSE board are run by central government of INDIA. They are easily available. ICSE is recognized less in INDIA as compared to CBSE. Both the boards are good. I hope you got it. |

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
Both ICSE and CBSE have good rank. and both are equally likely. so dont worry about the board. you can take admission in any board. the thing you must concentrate is on your study not on your board. and school through which you get study.

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
ICSE is generally considered to be a tougher board than CBSE.
Thus most of the people choose to switch over to CBSE board as a student's main focus in 12th standard are the various entrance exams the student has to give which finally decides the college the student gets into. Though at the same time people also say that tough board gives you a better chance at the entrance exam. I would suggest you to stay in the same board as you are as getting into a new board will make you have to adjust there which is tough. |

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
The standard of CBSE has gone down drastically over the years. Only advantage CBSE has is that more than 10000 schools are following their syllabus. ICSE is tough but is highly competitive as well, which has a global perspective in all aspects.

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
Both the boards are equally good as ICSE board is a bit tough but provides you with a little extra knowledge and concepts , even the level of English is better
It completely depends on your which board to select If you want to study in any science related stream than you must go for CBSE board because the syllabus of the entrance exam is based on CBSE board But if you want to select commerce or arts you an study in any board Both the boards are well recognised in India as well as internationally |

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
It depends on what subject you will choose for further studies if you choose to prepare for jee or neet then you should prefer ICSE because it involves also concepts of 11 and 12 class and you will be able to solve 12 class physics and maths books also easily and it helps to you achieve a good rank in all India and ICSE board students have a creative mind than others if you study properly and putting good efforts

Re: Which board would be better for me between ICSE and CBSE?
The problem of selecting an education board can be partially overcome by comparing CBSE and ICSE.
While ICSE focuses on your child's key personality attributes to aid in general development, CBSE aids in goal achievement. Students can succeed in any board with adequate planning. Additionally, boards will have an impact on your child's future job goals. Most people believe that those who want to pursue JEE or NEET typically favour CBSE, whereas those who want to study literature or abroad are more likely to favour ICSE. |
