What are my chances in JEE Advanced with 1079 rank in ST Category?

There are no chances of you in JEE Advanced with 1079 rank in ST Category.
Expected cutoff rank for ST category is 400.
So, you can't take admission in any IIT with this rank. So, just prepare for next JEE exams.

Your rank is not bad, there are a lot of chances of you to get an IIT with your current rank.

But this is not sure, you have to participate in the online counseling for confirming your seat in the best reputed institute.

You will definitely get the benefit of your category.

** Display of mock seat allocation

July 4, 2015

** Publishing of JEE Main revised ranks for candidates whose class XII marks are revised

July 4, 2015

** NIC: Reconcile the data and allocate seats IITs / NITs: Verify and validate

July 6, 2015

** Seat allocation (1st round)

July 7, 2015

** Acceptance of seat (1st round)

July 8 to 12, 2015

** Seat allocation (2nd round)

July 13, 2015

** Acceptance of seat (2nd round)

July 14 to 17, 2015

** Seat allocation (3rd round)

July 18, 2015

** Acceptance of seat (3rd round)

July 19 to 21, 2015

** Seat allocation for preparatory courses (at IITs) and 4th round (for NITs)
