No, it is not a barrier as NIOS is not a recognized board nowadays. Peoplpe have a misconception that as NIOS being an Open board university, therefore it has got no much value, but the reality is not such.

You can easily for for Ayurveda course after successful completion of your 12th standard from NOIS. But try to give your best in board examination.

Yes ,you can do your 12th from NIOS board without any barrier.
NIOS stands for National Board of Open Schooling. That is why the classes are not held regularly.
That's why it has less value which is not true in reality.

NIOS is a recognized board of India and you can easily do 12th from it without any tension.

In NIOS you do not have to attend the regular classes and you just have to go to give the exam.

Try to do your best and GOOD LUCK.

NIOS is government recognised Board. So any candidate passing from here can pursue any degree in future. Passing from NIOS is not inferior to any boards like CBSE/Isc or any state boards. Candidate of NIOS has the same opportunity as candidate passed from any other board.

You should also note that NIOS also offers 1 Year Programme in Ayurvedic Therapy.

You can do Following courses in Ayurvedia
1. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
2. BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)
3. MBA (in Pharmacy)
4. M.D (in Ayurveda-Basic Principles)
