# IIT JAM stands for Indian Institutes Technology Joint Admission Test.

# IIT JAM primarily meant for admission into M.Sc and P.hD degree courses in followings IITs:

* IIT Delhi
* IIT Kanpur
* IIT Bombay
* IIT Roorkee
* IIT Madras
* IIT Guwahati
* IIT Kharagpur

# Required educational qualification:

* Must have bachelor degree in B.E or B.Tech.
* Must have taken minimum 55% marks without rounding off (taking into consideration of all subjects of all the years).
* Candidates who have CGPA or letter grades must have grades equivalent to the required percentage.


# Important dates regarding IIT JAM 2016:

* Start of online submission of application form : 02.09.2015
* Last date of online submission of application form : 10.10.2015
* Last date of uploading the documents : 14.10.2015
* Date of Examination : 07.02.2016
* Declaration of result : 23.03.2016
* Online submission of form for admission : 15-24 Apr 2016
* Declaration of first admission list : 15.06.2016
* Declaration of second admission list : 29.06.2016
* Declaration of third and final admission list : 11.07.2016

IIT JAM exam score is used for admission for the various Master degree programs like : M.SC/M.TECH/M.S(RESEARCH),Ph.D etc at IITs.

Eligibility for appearing in IIT JAM 2016 is a Bachelor degree with 55% from AICTE recognized institute.

Important Dates for IIT JAM 2016 are:

Online registration will begin from 2nd Sept. 2015.

Last Date of Payment of fee through e-challan : 10th Oct. 2015.

Last of uploading documents on the website : 14th Oct. 2015.

Date JAM Exam : 7th Feb. 2016.

Result Date: 23rd March 2016.

Submission of application form for admission : 15-24th April 2016.

Declaration of First admission list : 15th June 2016.

Declaration of second admission list : 29th June 2016.

Declaration of third admission list and the closure oF admission through JAM : 11th July 2016.

I am B.E. student with mechanical branch ,i am eligible for admission into m.sc. mathematics in any IIT ?
