I am a commerce student and want to join Indian Air Force. May i apply for IAF?

The three branches of the Air force are

• Flying,
• Ground duty
• and Technical branch.

The officer cadre provides opportunities for men with 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch),

graduates (all three branches)

,
engineers (all three branches)
and postgraduates (all branches except the Flying branch) in the various positions.

Women with graduate (all three branches), engineering (all three branches) and post graduate degrees (all branches except the Flying branch) have openings as an Officer in the Air force.

As you can see "graduates (all three branches)" so you can apply for all the branches so for openings you can get about the notification of exam either in Employement newspaper or in

Yes after completing your 12Th examination you are eligible for IAF but only for "Flying Branch". And to join Flying Branch you need to appear for the UPSC examination, It means you have to apply for NDA examination and after completing 12Th you are eligible for NDA, But for this your age should between 21 to 30 years and the final year candidates may also eligible for the same. But please make sure that you have completed your 12Th with Physics and Mathematics. Because only science stream candidates may apply for this Branch, the Examination was held 2 times in a year and eligible candidates may fill the application form Online by visit the UPSC website. So, If you are Interest then please apply for this examination next year and for complete details please check the official website OR check the employment newspaper.

friend i'm not cent percent sure but for iaf u should have physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects in your +2. since i predict that being a commerce student it is not possible for u to have physics so u cannot apply for iaf as such. but i would suggest u to go through the nda and cds guidelines avialable on upsc.gov.in

Yes commerce student can apply for the air force in nontechnical branch after 12th standard

Their is ground job for such students.

After graduation
as an airmen

With 12th in commerce stream, you can only apply for the post for army wing of national defense academy through NDA Exam. But you cannot join Air Force. Generally Air Force requires to have completed the 12th standard with physics and mathematics as background. You can get the further guidelines through any of the educational consultancy regarding the procedure to enter into the Air Force.

CAN a 2 COMMERCE STUDENT JOIN IN AIR FORCE.

Sir, a Commerce student can join INDIAN AIR FORCE.

Its great opportunity to you to serve for your own country,if you have the caliber you must join the Indian Air-force.

As you have already completed your graduation level,then you can apply for then you can get chance to take admission in Indian Air-force.

There are some selection procedure such as:

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women

Age:

i)19 to 23 years
ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India.
Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.

Marital Status:
You have to be Single.

Nationality:
You have to be Indian

Gender:
Men and women can apply for the examination.

Educational Qualifications

1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

or
You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters.

Generally,the notice is published in the month of March and September every year.

Dear Aspirant

YES...sure you can apply for Indian Air Force as a commerce student if you have Maths as a subject in your Commerce Programm.


You can join Air Force after 12th or Graduation.


Following are the Exam through which you can join in Indian Air Force:

1. NDA(National Defence Academy) -> For 12th passed candidates

2. AFCAT(Air Force Common Entrance Test.) -> For Graduates

3. CDSE(Combined Defense service Examination) -> For Graduates
