The reservation Policy which is followed for the recruitment of Reserved categories like SC/ST are as follows.

The reservations are given according to the constitutional reservation law made in favour of SC/St's

Present percentage fixed for SC by open competition(i.e., Through the UPSC or by means of open competitive test held by any other authority is
15%

And also I'll provide the information related to Group C and Group D posts are normally attracting Candidates from a locality or Region.

This will be in proportion to the population of SC/ST in the respective states.

This is the reservation policy followed towards SC Candidates in civil service examination.

the 15% reservation is nothing but for example if there are 100 IAS posts in an UPSC notification then

15 posts are reserved for SC candidates only.
So you can be one of them.
if you belong to SC community its your luck .
you can be easily get the job.

so you make your sincere efforts everything will go in your way .

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
Eligibility criteria for IAS exam is..

1. Graduation in any stream from a recognize university college.
2. The age between 21 to 30 years for general category Age relaxation is provided for OBC SC/ST candidates.
3. No. of attempt 4times OBC 7times abs ST/SC no limit.



Preliminary Examination consists of Two Papers-

Paper I — General Studies 150 marks

Paper II — An Optional subject 300 marks.
