Sir I am currently in class 10th and want to know is it really tough to crack IAS since it has a very wide syllabus and requires to remember various facts and files.

IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service and it come under Civil services examination which is being conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) once in every year. IAS is one of the good job of our country. If you are interested in this field then to appear in the Civil Services examination you need following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for the Civil Services examination.
--> Graduation degree is any stream from a recognize University. Final year graduation candidates can also appear in Civil Services examination.
--> The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the reserve category.

There are no limit percentage required in graduation degree. Only pass the graduation degree is enough to appear in the Civil Services examination.

As you are studying in the 10th class so first complete your graduation degree in any stream and then think about the civil services examination.

You must know that every year lacs of candidates appear for this exam and finally 1000-1500 candidates are selected. IAS or Civil Services Exam can be cracked if a candidate sincerely prepares for the exam.

CSAT is the first stage to crack IAS Exam that is commenced by UPSC.

Though the syllabus is quite large, but if you go through the syllabus step by step then you can easily prepare for it.

Remember, there is no shortcut to success.

IAS Exam is not the easy one, you will have to work hard for this Exam to crack it.

If you really want to crack this exam, then follow these points:

Devote 6-8 hours daily for preparation.
Join some good coaching institute so that you may get help from Experts.
Solve Valuable Question Papers given by Coaching Tutors.
Just purchase some good Reference Books from the Store and solve it.
Read English News, Manorma Year Book, Pratiyogita Darpan, etc. to increase your GS.
