Yes it is ofcourse possible to crack IAS exam without a coaching class. You need to be updated with the general knowledge and should have to prepare for the subjects which you are opting for very seriously.
Start solving the previous years question papers for practise and analyse the pattern of examination throught it. Be ready for the medical test and interview after clearing the written exam. |

Re: Is it possible to crack IAS Exam without Coaching?
IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. It is one of the popular civil service in India.
One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university in order to be eligible for IAS Exam. Rather than calling it IAS Exam, better you can call Civil Services Exam as it is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in various civil services like Indian Administrative Service Indian Police Service Indian Revenue Service etc. The complete selection procedure would involve Civil Services Aptitude Test Civil Services Main Exam Interview This exam is one of the toughest exam in India to crack as there is huge competition among the candidates to crack this exam. You can prepare for this exam on your own rather than taking coaching. But for this, much efforts are required from your side like -Collecting Previous year papers -Collecting model papers -Collecting the areas from which most of the questions will come -Self evaluation of your knowledge and performance from time to time. -Current Affairs etc. But if you join in a coaching institute, you will be provided good amount of guidance on all these areas which will make your preparation too easy. So my suggestion is to avail coaching for civil services exam. Many of the Institutes will charge one time fee to offer coaching for the candidates. Better to join in such kind of institutions and prepare well. Wish you all the best. |
