Those who have passed 12th are eligible to take this exam. Candidate applying for this exam should have secured not less than 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Also the qualification must be from a recognised institute. The age of the candidate should not be over 20 years. There is relaxation in this criteria for SC/ST candidates only. There is no relaxation for OBC candidates. So you are not eligible to take this exam.

You are eligible for the exam but i suppose you should be a commerce XII passed.(To apply for this exam, the candidates need to have a pass in class XII or its equivalent. They must have a score of minimum 50 percent. A relaxation of 5% is given to students of the reserved categories and for people who are disabled.)

Candidates who are applying for the graduate program should not be above 20 years of age. An upper age limit relaxation of 2 years is granted for students of the reserve categories as well as students who are disabled. No age limit is mentioned in case of students who wish to go for the postgraduate program.

HI!
C.L.A.T is common Law Admission Test Conducted by National Law Institute, JhodPur once in a year.

I am sorry to say that after passing 12th at the age of 21 year you are not eligible for C.L.A.T exam.

For C.L.AT exam should be below 20 year for general and O.B.C.
For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 17-22 year...

GOOD LUCK!

Unfortunately you are not eligible to sit for the CLAT exam since for General and OBC candidates the upper age limit for this exam is 20 years. Age relaxation is applicable for the SC/ST candidates and persons with disabilities only.

CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is an all India law entrance exam which is conducted by 10 National Law Universities alternately. Apart from these 14 National Law Universities with the CLAT Score you can also seek for admission in other law universities in India as well.

This year the university which is in charge of the exam is Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU). It is a university which is recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  1. If you want to pursue the undergraduate course then following eligibility criteria needs to be satisfied:
  2. You need to pass higher secondary examination from a recognized board with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate.
  3. The above specified percentage needs to be guaranteed by the general category candidates. Fo the reserved category candidates there is percentage relaxation.
  4. By SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates 45% of marks in aggregate needs to be secured.
  5. Final year class 12 students about to sit for their final year exam or awaiting the result of their board exam can also sit for this exam.
  6. The upper age limit as already mentioned above for general category and OB category candidates is 20 year.
  7. For SC/ST and PWD candidates the upper age limit is 22 years.

Exam Pattern:-

Areas of Weightage:
  • English including Comprehension: 40 marks
  • General Knowledge/ Current Affairs: 50 marks
  • Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability): 20 marks
  • Legal Aptitude: 50 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 40 marks

Hope this helps :->

I am sorry Prashant but you can not appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). You have crossed the age limit to appear for the Common Law Admission Test to get admission for BA LLB course.

Unfortunately there is no relaxation in age limit for OBC candidates. It is only given to the SC/ST candidates. Therefore the criteria for OBC is same as General students which makes you ineligible.

However if you still want to pursue Law, then the best option would be LLB. But for that you will first have to complete the graduation. The LLB is 3 years graduation course while BA LLB is 5 years long.

Don't make the mistake of going for distance education degree. It is not valid as per Bar Council of India. In terms of merit there is no difference between BA LLB and LLB degree. BA LLB is 5 years long because it includes course of a graduation degree along with LLB.

CLAT Eligibility

1. The candidate has to first complete 12th standard.

2. Minimum of 45 percent marks should have been scored in 12th.

3. SC/ST need minimum of 40 percent marks.

4. Age limit is set at 20 years.

5. There is 2 years relaxation for SC/ST.

LLB Eligibility

1. The candidate must be graduate.

2. 45 percent marks should have been scored.

3. 40 percent in case of SC/ST.

4. Must be below 30 years to apply.

5. SC/ST can apply till 35 years.

At the age of 21 years from OBC Category, you are not eligible to apply for CLAT as the maximum limit for CLAT is 20 years for General/OBC candidate.

CLAT - Common Law Admission Test conducted by National Law University for admission to 5 years Integrated LL.B. Degree.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board with 50% marks within the age of 20 years with relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST candidate.
