There could be package difference.

Most Important thing in MBA is that from which Institution student has done his/her MBA and how much he /she has learned from there .

If you get selected in a college which is of average reputation it might be possible that you would get low salary as compare to the Institutions which are having high reputation.

You should do Regular MBA from Reputed B-School for high Salary Package like IIM's if you could leave your Job for while or there is also a option for Part- time MBA for working Profession.

You have Good 4 years Experience in Software Company Part- time MBA Option could also prove very Beneficial as these Reputed B-School also offer MBA part-time

but work experience could vary as some institutions even demand at least 5 years of Experience in any field and also Conduct Entrance Examination.

It is Better to Do MBA from Good institution whether do it Regular or Part-time as these Instiutions hold years of Experience in teaching .

Reputed B-School follow 3 stages to select the right candidate for MBA programme offered by their institution.

1. MBA Entrance Exam Score (like CAT, MAT and any other exam)
2. Group Discussion
3. Personal Interview

Thumbs up Re: How to pursue MBA after completing 4 years in software company?

Hi

With 4 year of experience you can go for both.

however, it would be good for you if you go for regular two year MBA as MBA is a practical oriented course and you would get lot to learn on campus. Your four year of work ex will help you in admission as admission criteria have some weightage for work ex and since you have worked for four year, it would help you understand various concept easily.

Executive MBA is done when you have good work ex and you cant spend two year in studies. Many times company finance your one year of executive MBA and then absorb you at higher position with high pay.

all the best

You should go for regul;ar 2 Year MBA

Executive MBA should be done by those who have 3-4 years of Good work experience

MBA is a Post Graduation Course and can be done after completing your Graduation.
There are many Institutes and Universities offering this two year course.

Selection procedure for the MBA course involves:
>> Written Test
>> Group Discussion
>> Interviews

MBA written Tests that you can appear are:

MAT- Minimum Eligibilty to apply is Graduation pass. This test is conducted by AIMA.

CAT- Minimum Eligibilty is Graduation pass with minimum 50% marks for general and OBC candidates and 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates.

SNAP- This exam is conducted by Symbiosis, Minimum Eligibilty is Graduation pass with minimum 50% marks.

XAT- Minimum Eligibilty is Graduation pass

To get calls from Good MBA colleges you have to get atleast 95 percentile marks in the all these written tests.

After this you would be called by colleges for the next rounds that is Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Hi,
If you prefer full time MBA, you can give entrance exam and get seat in preferred college.
If you want to do part time along with your job, you can choose evening college or distance education.
