Respected Sir/Madam,
My name is Danish and I am from Lucknow. I wanted to know about if
there is any exam conducted by the government of India for M.Tech or
Ph.D from abroad. The selected candidates gets the scholarship . I saw
an article about this article once i a news paper . So kindly help me
to solve my problem.

You can apply for GRE for getting admission in a M.Tech or Ph.D program. Government of India doesn't conduct any sort of entrance exam for admission in foreign University because admission in a foreign University is controlled by the respective country in which you want to get admission.

Along with GRE you must also qualify IELTS/TOEFL for getting admission in a M.Tech or Ph.D program. IELTS/TOEFL is mainly to prove your English proficiency because the mode of study will be English.

If you have a good all around academic record and a excellent GRE score, then you can apply for scholarship also. If you are found suitable for scholarship, then surely you will get it.
