Government College of engineering and Leather technology was set up in the year 1955 and is government aided institute. The institute has emerged to be one of the best leather technology institutes in the country. The college is approved by the AICTE.
Courses Offered
The institute offers a number of courses in the field of engineering in the courses with respective intakes given as follows: Foot ware Technology with 10 seats; Computer science & Engineering with 40 seats; Leather Technology with 30 seats and Information Technology with 40 seats. A program for Masters in leather technology with an intake of 25 is also offered.

The institute is aided by the government and thus it has state of the art infrastructure facilities for offering to its students. The well equipped laboratories, a central library with more than 10000 books are just a few examples of its distinguished infrastructure.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should secure a good rank in the entrance examinations like AIEEE and WBJEE for admission.
The candidate with a minimum of 45% aggregate at the Higher Secondary or Equivalent level having passed in English are eligible for getting admission.
