The Government Engineering College is amongst the very famous engineering colleges in the state of Kerala and also has its names in the list of reputed technical colleges. The college was founded in the year 1999 and was inaugurated by the Hon. Education Minister, Mr. P.J.Joseph on 17th Jan 2000.  The college offers various degree courses to the aspirants. The college has the affiliation from the Kannur University.
