Graphic Era Institute of Technology, Dehradun
Graphic Era Institute of Technology was established in the year 1993 in the city of Dehradun and is functional under the Graphic Era University. Both management and engineering programs are offered by the institute. The institute also provides a good platform for works related to research and specialization. The institute has a record of producing management leaders and great technical minds who are working with various national and international companies. It has achieved the status of a deemed university and has the approval of Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Courses Offered
Courses providing both graduate and postgraduate level programs for academic and professional level are offered. It specially offers courses relating to the fields of engineering; management; hotel management and computer applications. Moreover the institute’s various courses such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and telecommunications, MCA and MBA have the accreditation from NBA.
Infrastructure
The campus is quite large and lavish covering 30 acres of land area. The institute has been successful in carving out a space for it with time. The students have the best amenities at their disposal including well stocked libraries, well equipped labs and conference halls. The teaching staff of the college includes a number of pass outs from IIMs, IITs ans NITs.
Placement
The placement record of the college is exceptional. A mammoth sum of 475 students got placed recently during the campus with Infosys recruiting 166 students and Syntel 176. The college has the accreditation of TCS. Among the other biggies that visit the campus mention of some names such as SHRIRAM GROUP, ICICI, PEROT SYSTEMS, L & T INFOTECH and BENCHMARK BROADCAST can be made.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria
The aspirants should have their Higher Secondary or other equivalent examination done from a recognized Indian board and should qualify the GEU entrance examination. The candidates who have been able to out do others in terms of ranks in the exam have always an edge over the others of getting admitted to this institute.
