Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was established by Government of India under Ministry of Home Affairs. The role of this organization is to promote safety in border areas, to prevent cross border crimes and unauthorized entry of persons or things and to prevent cross order illegal activities. This defence wing has been taking care of our country from a long time has been playing an important role in our lives. The headquarter of SSB is located at R.K. Puram, New Delhi. It is one of the paramilitary force of the country which was formely known as the Special Service Bureau.

Job Profile:

Applications are invitied from eligible Indian male citizens for filling up the following Group ‘C’ Combatised, Non Gazetted posts of Head Constable in Sashastra Seema Bal. The posts are available in the fields of Electrician, Telecommunication and Workshop. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and abroad according to the transfer police of the Force.

1. Recruitment of Head Constable (Electrician):
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 or Matric from a recognized board with certificate or Dipmia on Electrician trade from a government recognized institution.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

2. Recruitment of Head Constable (Workshop):
No. of posts: Only 58 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized board with Diploma in Automobile or Motor Mechanical Engineering from a government recognized institution.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years of age.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

3. Recruitment of Head Constable (Telecom):
No. of posts: Only 204 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized board with two years ITI certificate in Electronics or Intermediate.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years of age.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted by General and OBC categories candidates. The application fee must be paid through the a IPO/Bank Draft drawn in favour of The Accounts Officer SSB, SHQ Gorakhpur (UP) payable at SBI Gorakhpur.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the result of written examination and the personal interview test with the selection committee. Candidates are required to qualify in both the examinations for getting selected on the desired positions.
