Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was established by Government of India under Ministry of Home Affairs. It was established in the early 1963. It is one of the paramilitary force of the country which was formely known as the Special Service Bureau. The headquarter of SSB is located at Directorate General of SSB, East Block-V, Sector-I, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. This highest level of head quarter of the foce is also known as the Force Headquarter.

Job Profile:

Applications are invitied from eligible Indian male citizens for filling up the positions of Sub Inspector in the field of Telecom and Pioneer and Assistant Sub-Inspector in Sashastra Seema Bal. Candidates will be selected on temporary basis but the posts are likely to become permanent. Candidates should check all the eligibility conditions set for applying on the specified positions.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be have age more than 18 years for the specified position of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector in Sashastra Seema Bal. Candidates should also not have age more than 25 years as on 20 June 2011. Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years. For OBC category candidates, the maximum age limit is relaxable by 3 years only. Candidates are required to be medically fit.

Educational Qualification:

For the post of Sub-Inspector (Pioneer/Telecom): Candidates should possess degree in Electronics or Telecommunication for the post of Sub-Inspector in Telecom field. Candidates should have done 10+2 with Science stream from a recognized board for the post of Sub-Inspector in Pioneer field.

For the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Telecom): Candidates should have passed Matric with Diplomain Electronics or Telecommunication from any recognized institute or university.

Sub-Inspector (Pioneer): Only 30 posts are available.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (Telecom): Only 49 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Sub-Inspector (Telecom/Pioneer): Rs. 9300-34800 witha Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (Telecom): Rs. 5200-20200 witha Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.
