Company profile: The role of this organization is to promote safety in border areas, to prevent cross border crimes and unauthorized entry of persons or things and to prevent cross order illegal activities. This defence wing has been taking care of our country from a long time has been playing an important role in our lives.
Job profile: The role of the inspectors and sub inspectors will be to maintain and take care of the decorum and making sure that no offence takes place in their presence. They will be required to operate their department efficiently and execute he different activities in telecom department.
Eligibility: Indian nationals can only apply. The age for the post of an Inspector is 22 to 26 years as on 31.08.09. The age limit for a sub inspector and an ASI is 18 to 25 years.
Educational qualification: A candidate must have a B.E (Electronics) OR a M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics or Telecommunication OR a B.Sc. (Physics, Maths or chemistry) with 3 years diploma in Electronics or Telecommunication from a recognized Govt. institute for the post of an Inspector.
For the post of a sub inspector (Telecom) – A candidate must have a degree in electronics or telecommunications
For the post of the sub inspector (Pioneer) – A candidate must have a degree or a diploma in civil engineering.
No. of posts: There are 20 posts for sub inspector and 1 post for inspector.
Pay Scale: The pay scale for the inspector is Rs9300-34800 + a grade pay of Rs4600 and for the sub inspector it is Rs9300-34800 + a grade pay of Rs4200.
Selection procedure: The candidates have to appear for written test if there is a large no. of applications else they will have to appear for an interview or GD as decided by the board.
How to apply: The candidates have to apply according to the Performa given in the advertisement or on the website. The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs50 (only for GEN/OBC) in the form of a DD drawn in the favor of Commandant, 25th (SSB) Bn. Ghitorni, New Delhi (Payable at New Delhi). The applications must be sent to Commandant, 25th (SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL), Battalion, Ghitorni, P.O. Arjungarh, and New Delhi-110047 by ordinary post only. The envelope must be super scribed with the post applied for and the post code.

I cleared all rounds of this recruitment including medical examination. I was told the final merit list will be announced after December 15, till now there is no intimation on it in SSB’s website. Can anyone tell when will the final merit list be declared? It has been 2 months since the medical examination results were announced (Nov 4th) on PET ground itself..
