Symbiosis is one of the well know institute in India. They conduct a National Aptitude test for the Post graduate students commonly known as the SNAP exam. This is an essential criterion for all post graduate aspirants of Symbiosis. It is conducted over twenty cities across the nation. The students with minimum 50% mark in graduation from a recognized university can apply for the exam.

Structure of SNAP

The entrance exam is of objective type with multiple choices. The students will be provided with four choices and have to select the right one. For each wrong answer there is a reduction of 0.25 marks from the correct one. It is a three hours exam contains 150 questions. It is conducted mainly to assess the candidate knowledge domain and reasoning skills. The main areas of question are

• General Awareness
• General English
• Analytical and Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative

Syllabus of SNAP

The General English covers the areas of verbal reasoning, comprehension and Grammar. It contains 40 questions and the candidates should attend every section. This need a lot of practice and they can refer the text books of CAT or MAT for preparation.

General awareness also carries 40 questions from the areas of current issues and happenings in Indian context and Global environment.

The quantitative section also carries 40 questions and covers the areas of trigonometry, arithmetic and calculus. It also contains questions from the areas of Algebra and Data interpretation and Sufficiency.

Next is the analytical and logical reasoning part consisting of 30 problems. They can refer different reasoning problems so as to solve the problems.

Students can refer different competitive exams materials, CAT or MAT text books, Agrawal for quantitative and can go through magazines, Newspapers etc, for the current awareness.

Study Plan for SNAP

Well practiced person can get through the entrance exam. Students are asked to solve maximum questions within the time frame. So attending number of mock test and referring the previous year question will help the candidate to get through the exam. They can prepare a time schedule for covering the topic and preparation note will help them to revise at the last moment.
