The Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media shortly called as IIJNM holds the pride of being one of the leading PG schools for journalism and media in South Asia. Courses offered:

The Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media offers the following courses:

PG Diploma in Print, Broadcast or Online/multimedia journalism

Graduate Diploma in Print, Broadcast or online/multimedia journalism

Both these courses include core courses that comprises of master’s thesis project, media workshops, electives and advanced seminars. These courses are offered by the institute in two semesters being July – December and January – June.

Eligibility Requirements:

For getting into the one-year PG Diploma course offered by the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media, candidates must have completed their UG degree in any discipline and even candidates in the final year of their degree course can apply to this course. Candidates, who have completed their higher secondary or who are waiting for their higher secondary or pre-university results are eligible to apply to the graduate diploma course offered by the institute.

Admission Procedure:

The process of admission to the courses offered by the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media begins with submission of application forms by the candidates, which can be downloaded from the link showing ‘download application form’ in the web page http://iijnm.org/admissions-form.html. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will have to take up online aptitude test followed by a personal interview.

Job placements:

IIJNM has an excellent placement record and almost all graduates of the institution are placed in media organizations at very good pay scale during the past years. The institute is able to ensure placement of its students due to the persistent contact maintained by the institution with a number of media companies. IIJNM graduates are so far placed in some of the top media firms like Economics Times, Hindustan Times, Outlook, Star News, Google, Rediff, BBC, Indian Express, CNN IBN, Deccan Chronicle and the list goes on.

Hostel Facility at IIJNM:

The courses offered by IIJNM required intense study for one year and therefore all students are required to preferably stay in the college dormitory located next to the college campus; however, some exemption is granted. The institute offers modern and convenient residential facility for female and male students. The stay of students is made enjoyable and comfortable through secured area, which is free from noise and pollution, adequate supply of clean water and health climate.
