IIML or the Indian institute of management in Lucknow that is situated in the outskirts of Lucknow is a major institute for management studies in India. The institute was established in the year 1984 and takes post graduation programmes along with research and other programmes. The institute is also taking initiative to enter into collaboration with various good B-schools and research centres in India, Southeast Asia, Canada, and Europe.

The Lucknow Campus is spread over an area of 185 acres with all modern facilities. The campus is located at a distance of about 21 kilometers from railway station and thirty one kilometers from airport of Lucknow.

The institute offers PGPM or Post Graduate Programme in Management. PGPABM or Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management, WMP or Post Graduate Programme in Business Management for Working Managers, IPMX or International Programme in Management for Executives, FPM or Fellow programme in Management, and Management Development Programme (MDPs). PGP is a 2 year programme that awards a diploma in Management.

The admissions to the institute is done through on the basis of combined aptitude test or commonly known as CAT which is held every year around the month of November. The students are required to fill the application form for CAT which tests student’s abilities in Quant, Logical reasoning & data interpretation and Verbal sections. The entrance test is followed by an Interview session of those students who clear a specified percentile that is the percentage of students whose marks are below you. The students apart from this have to fill in an admission form specifically for IIML.

The various facilities at IIML campus include a Computer Centre that is fifteen thousand sq. feet spacious and air conditioned fully .All the buildings which also include the hostel facilities, Academic block etc are connected through a centralized network. The Institute has a large library to support its courses which is named as Gyanodaya Library.
