Instrumentation Engineering is a sub division of engineering that is concerned with the study of engineering principles and procedures of computing instruments, which are used in designing and assembling automated systems. The professionals design, construct and monitor intricate controls systems for a variety of daily usage products, robotic machines, automobiles, and machinery.
Qualifying Exam
In order to become an Instrumentation Engineer, aspirants have to complete the engineering graduation in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. However, they should have done the course from a recognised University so as to become a certified Instrumentation Engineer. On completion of the graduation program, they can search out for career in automation companies, Thermal Power Plants, Refineries, Iron and Steel Plants, Space Research Organizations and so on. Postgraduates in the concerned fields can expect senior positions in companies. They can also get employments as lecturers in engineering colleges.
Who is eligible to apply?
The qualification criterion to apply for the graduation course in Instrumentation Engineering is a pass in the XII examination.
