Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) was established by the Central Government under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. The major objective behind the establishement of the corporation was to protect the interest of workers in problems like Sickeness, Maternity etc that results in the loss of wages or earning capacity of the workers. The major function performed by ESIC is to administer the scheme. The prescribed scheme was actually implemented in the year 1952 at Kanpur and Delhi.

Job Profile:

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is making recruitment of eligible and qualified candidates on the vacant position of Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II (Allopathic). Selected candidates will be recruited on the specified position in ESI Hospitals in the state of Delhi, Haryana and Kerala.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age not exceeding the maximum age limit i.e. 30 years as on 12 December 2011. Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who are employees of ESI Corporation and Government Servants. All interested candidates are required to follow the prescribed age criteria or else their application will not be considered by the corporation.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess a recognized medical qulaification included in the first or second schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates with a recognized medical qulaification included in the Part-II of thirs schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, are also eligible to apply for the specified position of Insurance Medical Officers (IMO) Grade-II (Allopathic) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Candidates should also have passed the qualifying test in the official langauge of the state.

Pay Scale: Candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400. Eligible candidates will also be given the DA, NPA, HRA and Transport Allowance as per rules, in addition to the prescribed amount of salary.

Application Fee:

Candidates must submit the prescribed amount of application fee by the means of a Demand Draft only. General and OBC candidates should submit their application fee of Rs. 225. SC/ ST/ PH/ Departmental/ Female/ Ex-Serviceman candidates are not required to submit this application fee. The demand draft should be made in favour of E.S.I. Fund Account No. 1 payable at New Delhi. The demand draft should be drawn on any scheduled bank.
