Integrated Common Entrance Test, ICET, is one of the well known MCA entrance test in India conducted by the Andhra University. The exam is conducted for the admission process for the full or part time or the Distant and evening mode of MBA and MCA courses. In Andhra Pradesh many universities/institutes are considering the ICET score for the admission process.

Structure of ICET Exam

The ICET is a multiple choice objective type test with 200 questions. It is divided into three sections and the students should cover the paper with in 150 minutes. The areas of the question are

  • Analytical Ability: 75 questions
  • Mathematical Ability: 75 questions
  • Communication Ability: 50 questions

Eligibility Criteria

MCA

The minimum qualification is the three year graduation in any discipline from the recognized university with mathematics at the higher secondary level. The candidates with Mathematics as a paper in Graduation are also eligible to apply for the Exam. The last year graduate students are also eligible to apply for the exam.

MBA

The candidates looking for admission in the MBA course should pass the three year Bachelors course in any of the discipline form a accepted university.

The candidates should be Indian nationals and for the foreign nationals, they should meet the requirements as per the Government rules to take the exam.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can apply either through offline or online. One can get the form through post by sending a request form along with the demand draft of Rs.250/-. The draft should take in support of “The Secretary, APSCHE” and the request form should send to the set address given in the notification. One can also visit the official website of the ICET for downloading the application form. The filled application along with the needed documents with a passport size photo should send to the exam authority before the final date.

How to fill the Form?

Before filing the form one should totally read and understand the guidelines given in the booklet. The form should fill by the candidate personally, since your handwriting is important. The filling should be in block letters as suggested in the prospectus. You should double check whether you complete all the requirements and filled every column. Paste the recent photo wherever necessary and before sending makes sure you are attached every needed document. Any mistake will asking a price of rejecting your application for the exam.

Study Plan

A majority of the MCA or MBA institutes in Andhra Pradesh depends on the ICET score for the admission process. So the exam has its competitive nature. The students should prepare well before taking the exam. You should have a methodical study plan for preparing well and score high in the exam. Start the preparation while during the graduation course itself. You can prepare for the exam through self study with the help of the study material available in the Markey place. How and Where To Get the Results?

The result is available in the ICET official site. The students can visit the site after the announcement of the result and by providing the roll number and date of birth they can get the printed format of the scorecard.

Score Validity

The score validity of the ICET is one year. The score is used only at the admission time of present academic year. The score never carried out for the next year.
