Ramachandra College of Engineering (RCE) offers a two year course in Master of Business Administration (MBA). It offers specializations in Marketing, Finance, Systems and Human Resource. The total intake capacity for the course is 60. Those candidates who have completed an undergraduate programme in any art and science disciplines are eligible to apply for the MBA course. Applicants should also be a resident of India. Candidates are required to qualify for the competitive entrance examination to secure admission to the MBA programme in Ramachandra College of Engineering.

Course Details

The MBA programme offered by the Ramachandra College of Engineering follows the syllabus as structured by JNTU, Kakinada, to which RCE is affiliated. The syllabus includes subjects like Organization Communication, Quantitative Analysis for Business Decision, Management Theory and Practice, Financial Accounting and analysis, Managerial Economics, Business Environment and Data Base Management System Information Technology. RCE’s MBA programme is a 2 year course that is divided into 4 semesters. The specializations offered are as follows:

  • Finance
  • Human Resources Management
  • Marketing
  • Systems

Candidates are required to choose the specializations during the third semester. Ramachandra College of Engineering offers Dual Elective system. Candidates can choose to specialize in more than one elective through this system. Candidates are required to undertake a project in the final semester.

Admission procedure

There are two modes through which candidates can gain admission to the MBA course. The first category is where candidates can gain admission by qualifying for the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by a university of Andhra Pradesh. Category A has a course fee of Rs 27,000 per semester.

ICET is for a duration of 2 ½ hours. It follows the multiple choice objective based type. Candidates are required to answer a total of 200 questions in 150 minutes. Each question carries one mark. ICET features 3 sections:

  • Analytical Ability
  • Mathematical Ability
  • Communicative Ability

Analytical ability includes data sufficiency and problem solving. This section contains a total of 75 questions. Mathematical ability includes questions based on arithmetic ability, algebraic and geometrical ability and statistical ability. The total number of questions in this section is also 75. The communicative ability section includes vocabulary, business and computer technology, functional grammar and reading comprehension. The communicative ability section contains 50 questions.

Aspirants can also apply for the MBA course through category B. Candidates who gain admission through this second category need to pay a course fee of Rs 78,000 per semester.
