Structure of Jain Vishva Bharati University Research Entrance Test

Jain Vishva Bharati University Research Entrance Test is carried out in two papers. First paper is a General cum Research based Aptitude Test. The time duration allotted for the first paper is 1 hour. Paper I include objective model questions only. The number of questions for the same is 50 and the total marks for the paper is 100.

Second paper includes questions based on the respective subject. More clearly, the questions for Paper II will be on the bases of the syllabus of the qualifying PG degree (in the concerned subject). The test covers Objective type, Short answer type as well as essay model questions.  There will be 20 questions from Objective type, which carries 40 marks. The number of Short answer type questions is 7, which carry 40 marks. The rest of 20 marks out of 100 (total marks) is given for one essay model question. The candidate should complete the second paper with in time duration of 3 hours.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in PG degree is the minimum qualification required to attend the entrance test. The qualification must be obtained from either Jain Vishva Bharati University or any other equivalent University. The candidate should possess minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

How to Apply?

The candidates can apply for the entrance test through the official portal of Jain Vishva Bharati University. They can purchase the application form along with the prospectus by paying a fee amount of Rs.500/-. This method is applicable if the application form is collected directly. Those who download the application through the website must submit the fee in the form of DD. A separate fee of Rs. 750/- must be transferred in favour of Registrar, Jain Vishva Bharati University. This fee is meant for attending the entrance test.

How to fill the Form?

  • Understand the information brochure before filling the form
  • Fill all the columns in the form with exact details
  • Sent the completed application form along with all the necessary documents to the destination before the deadline
  • Write the name of the candidate on the back of the DD.
  • Keep the DD and a photocopy of the completed application for future reference
