Jamal Institute of Management is a constituent unit of Jamal Mohamed College and it is affiliated to Bharathidasan University. The institute was established in the academic year 2000-2001, which is the Golden Jubilee year of Jamal Mohamed College. The institute holds the pride of being rated among the top 250 institutions according to All India Management Association.

Course Details:

As the name implies, it is a management institution offering MBA under the specializations of systems, human resource management, marketing and finance. The duration of the course is two years, divided into four semesters with two semesters for each year. The institute has an intake capacity of 60 students for this course.

Eligibility criteria:

For the MBA course offered by the college, candidates must have completed their bachelors’ degree in any discipline with first class.

Admission Procedure:

The institute admits students to the MBA course on the following basis:

• Marks secured in the qualifying examination

• Marks secured in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Examination conducted by Anna University

• Group discussion

• Personal Interview

Criteria and Weightages for admission:

The group discussion is conducted for a total of 60 marks, which is divided into 10 marks each for analytical ability, initiative and subject knowledge and 15 marks each for leadership and communication skills of the candidates. Interview is conducted for 40 marks, which is divided into 10 marks each for answering ability, personality, subject knowledge and communication.
