Jamuna Prasad Bhagwandas Mahajan Degree College was set up by Mr. Bhagwan Das Jaiswal, the college is affiliated to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University and is acting as per the rules and regulations framed by the university. The college is located in an area of five acres of land in the Chauri Chaura area of Gorakhpur and the college is registered under the University Grants Commission Act. The college is divided into two one is Jamuna Prasad Bhagwandas Mahajan Degree College and another is Jamuna Prasad Bhagwandas Mahajan Mahila P.G. College. The first college offers only UG courses, while the second college is offering PG course as well and the college is specially meant for women students.
