JECA MCA 2012
The JECA is carried out by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for the admittance of aspirants into the many Private and Public sector Engineering Colleges, Universities and other Institutions within the state of West Bengal. More particulars of this exam are given below.
Syllabus for the JECA Exam
This examination has 2 parts. They are:
- Part - I: Aptitude Test
- Part - II: Mathematics
Each of these parts carries 100 marks. While the first part must be written within1 hour, students can take up to 1½ hours. MCQ’s with multiple choices will be asked in these papers.

Eligibility Criteria for JECA exam
Aspirants who have done their graduation in any stream or are going to appear for its final exam are eligible to appear for this entrance test. How to Apply
Aspirants who have the desire to appear for the Bengal Joint Entrance Examination MCA examination can get their forms from any of the designated branches of the United Bank of India or even by post. To get the exam form by this way, it will be needed for applicants to send a requisition letter with a DD of the amount needed. This DD is to be taken in name of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board and it is to be payable at HOWRAH. The filled in form ought to be sent by Speed post only.
Cost of Application Form
The cost of the form is Rs.400/-. The payment for the forms can only be done by way of DD. Those who desire to obtain their form by post must pay an additional Rs. 100/- with this amount (Rs. 500/-).
How to fill the Form
When you are filling the WB JECA admission form, you will really need to be careful. This is mainly because a simple error might lead to the rejection of your candidature. There is a chance for typo errors to get overlooked and this must be avoided by all means. Once the form is posted, there is no chance for one to correct it once again. Tips to be noted by students are as follows:
- All details about you must be furnished in the form. No area must be left out without reason.
- When filling in the admission form, you are to use only the correct pen or pencil.
- Documents mentioned in the brochure ought to be attached with the form.
- Never try to complete the form or mail it at the last time. This will only make you the more anxious and you will have the tendency to make mistakes at this time. Leaving things till a later date is never a good idea.
- Forms are to be dispatched earlier than the last date cited in the exam notification.

Study Plan
Aspirants first of all need to have a good idea about the importance of this examination. It will also be very much beneficial for them if they have the pattern of the exam as well as its syllabus with them. The validity of the WB JECA score shall be applicable for the period of one academic year.
