Junior Engineer (Civil) - Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board
Punjab Water Supply & Sewerage Board shortly called as PWSSB was established under the Punjab Government Act 1976 for execution, designing and planning of different water supply and sewerage works of urban local bodies.

PWSSB has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) and the details regarding the notification issued by the board for this position are given below:
Name of the Position: Junior Engineer (Civil) (Category No.2)
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 50, which is divided as follows:
• General – 21
• SC/ST – 09
• Backward Classes – 09, which includes 03 backlog positions
• Ex-servicemen self/dependent – 07 (BC-01, SC-02 and General-04)
• Physically handicapped – 02
• Freedom Fighter - 01
• Sportsmen – 01 (SC)
Pay scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) will come under the pay brand of Rs.10300-34800 + GP of Rs.3800
Educational qualification:
To apply for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) candidates must possess diploma in civil engineering from a recognized institution/university. Even candidates with graduation in civil engineering can apply, but no special weightage will be given to these candidates.
Age requirement: To apply for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) candidates must between the age group of 18 and 37 years as on the 1st of January 2011. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per the rules of Punjab Government.
Application fee:
The cost of application for general category and dependants of Ex-servicemen candidates is Rs.1000, which is Rs.250 for SC/ST and BC candidates. No application fee is applicable to Ex-servicemen.
How to apply:
Candidates will have to apply online through the website of CDAC, Mohali at http://www.recruitment.cdacmohali.in from the 18th of July to 5th of August 2011 until 5.00 pm. After successful submission of online application, candidates will have to generate their application number and should take a print out of the form. A recent passport size photograph should be pasted to it and should get attested from Gazetted or notary officer and should keep it safe with them for future reference. Then, candidates will get an online registration number printed on acknowledgement slip, which should be taken to the AXIS bank for depositing the fee and the fee should be paid before the 8th of August 2011.
