Rajya Sabha Secretariat is also known as Council of States. It came into existence in the year 1954 after it was announced as a nomenclature by the chair in the House. Rajya Sabha can have the maximum strength upto 250 as laid down by the Article 80 of the constitution. 12 members of the Rajya Sabha are appointed or nominated by the President only while the rest of 238 members are representative of the States and Union Territories. For being a member of the Parliament, one needs to possess the qualifications laid down by Artilce 84 of constitution. Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the present Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
Job Profile:
Rajya Sabha Secretariat is going to recruit eligible Indian Nationals on the following vacant positions of Junior Parliamentary Interpreter, Junior Parliamentary Reporter and Executive/Legislative/Committee/Protocol Assistant in Parliament of India. Only those candidates, who fulfill all the eligibility conditions should apply for any of their desired post from the following ones:

Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
2. Recruitment of Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Telugu):

Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
3. Recruitment of Junior Parliamentary Reporter (Hindi):
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
4. Recruitment of Junior Parliamentary Reporter (English):
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
5. Recruitment of Executive/ Legislative/ Committee/ Protocol Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 8 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 27 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Application Fee:
Rs. 130 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted or deposited by the General and OBC candidates. No application fee is required to be submitted by the SC/ ST/ Female and Ex-Serviceman candidates. The application fee must be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India in the Current Account No. 31096407809. The amount of application fee must be deposited by the means of a Demand Draft or Fee Payment Challan.
How to apply: Application form in the prescribed format should be sent alongwith the copies of the certificates or testimonials. The enclosures should be sent in an envelope only which is need to be superscribed with the name of the post applied for.
