Kalimpong College is a pioneer co-education institution located in Kalimpong in the city of Darjeeling and the college is affiliated to the University of North Bengal. It is a government sponsored institution established in the year 1962 and it has also earned NAAC accreditation. The institution came into existence in the year 1962 with the objective of offering higher education to the people of the underdeveloped place of Kalimpong.

Initially, the college began its functioning from a rented bungalow and to offer space for the increasing number of students, it was shifted to Nanduram Building popularly called as Oon Garden. Later in the year 1982, the college was shifted to its own new building.

In addition to the aforesaid courses, the following self-financing courses are also offered by the Kalimpong College:

Academic Session:

The academic session for 1st year degree students of the college commences from the 1st of June every year. For the second and third year students, the academic session each year will begin immediately after the university examination for first and second year respectively. The academic session for the second and third year will commence approximately within 15 days from the completion of Part I and Part II examination.

Admission Procedure:

Students, who wish to join Kalimpong College, can get the application form and prospectus from the office of the college on payment of the required application fee. When submitting the duly filled in application within the prescribed date, candidates will have to attach the following documents:

• Duly attested copy of admit card/pass certificate or mark sheet of the qualifying examination

• Attested copy of transfer/character certificate from the head of the previously attended institution

• A pass-port size photo to be affixed on the application form with due signature of the head of previously attended institution or gazatted officer

• Attested copy of migration certificate (only for candidates from other states)

Selected candidates will have to pay the course fee to the Axis Bank, Kalimpong and before payment of fee, candidates will have to collect fee book from the office of the college.
