Rajasthan Public Service Commission was incorporated as a premier commission of the Government of Rajasthan. The commission is responsible for organizing or conducting recruitments exams for the posts of officers in various departments of the Government of India. The office of the commission is located at Jaipur Road, Ajmer. The commission actually came into existence on August 16, 1949. The commission actually started off with the strength of one Chairman and two other members. S. K. Ghosh was appointed as the first chairman of the commission.

Job Profile:

Rajasthan Public Service Commission is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Lecturers in Technical Education. The post of Lecturer is available in the field of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technoloy, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Costume Design and Dress Making, Textile Designing etc.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 1 January 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post is 37 years as on 1 January 2012.

The age of candidates should not exceed the maximum age limit set for the post and also it should not be less than the minimum age limit set. Candidates having age less than 18 years and more than 37 years, will not be considered eligible for the post.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology or Master’s degree in appropriate branch is required as the minimum educational qualification set for the post. Candidates applying for the post of Lecturer (Textile Designing), should possess degree in Textile Design and Dress Making from a university established by law in India. This educational qualification is need to be fulfilled by the interested candidates.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates (B.Tech qualified) will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400. M.Tech qualified candidates will be provided the Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

Candidates belonging to General category candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 250 only. OBC category candidates (non creamy layer) are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 150 only. Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee for SC/ST category candidates. Submission of this application fee is must for the candidates.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the eligible candidates includes a interview test with the selection committee. Candidates are required to qualify in the personal interview test for getting selected on the post.
