Manonmaniam Sundaranar University shortly called as MSU was established in the year 1990 on the 7th of September to meet the educational requirements of the people of three districts in the state of TN namely Kanyakumari, Tuticorin and Tirunelveli. The university is offering education through a constituent college, 5 Mano colleges and more than 60 affiliated colleges. The university is offering education under commerce, arts and science faculties through various departments working under these faculties. The university follows choice based credit system for most of the courses offered by it. It holds the pride of being the first to introduce this system in Tamil Nadu.
