Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a scheme which was formed mainly for Indian workers. The coporation is considered as a self financing social security and health insurances scheme. The corporation was estalished in the year 1948. Intially the scheme was formed for factory workers only but later on its atrted providing social security to eomplyees from all industries. The coproration also plans to open medical and nursing schools in ESI hospitals in near future. The corporation has emerged as a strengthened scheme in recent times.

Job Profile:

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the position of Lower Division Clerk in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Candidates will have to serve in the Regional Office of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation located at Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 25 July 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post is 27 years as on 25 July 2011.

Candidates must have been born between 26 July 1984 to 26 July 1993 (both dates inclusive). Candidates are required to have age within the prescribed age limit or else their applications will not be accepted by the corporation. For candidates, belonging to reserved categories, may get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Higher Secondary Pass or equivalent from a recognized board of education is required for the post of Lower Division Clerk in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (Himachal Pradesh). Candidates should also have good working knowledge of computers with typing speed of 40 words per minute in English or 35 words per minute in Hindi.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Application Fee:

The demand draft of Rs. 150 is need to be sent as application fee by the General and OBC categories candidates. Rs. 25 is the amount of application fee that is need to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Ex-SM/Women candidates. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of ESIC Fund Account No. 1, R.D., H. P. payable at Parwanoo only.

How to apply: Application is need to be made online only by eligible candidates. The online application should be made at ESIC Himachal website. Candidates will not be allowed to apply online after 18 July 2011. A prinout of the filled in application form is need to be sent alongwith the demand draft and two copies of attested photographs and copies of all testimonials in an envelope.
