Maharana Pratap College of Technology located at Gwalior was established in the year 1996 and the courses offered by the college are approved by Government of Madhya Pradesh. The college is coming under the jurisdiction of Rajiv Gandhi Technical University located at Bhopal and within a very short period of its formation, the college has grown as one of the premier institutions in the region of Gwalior.

Intake capacity of the college:

The intake capacity of Maharana Pratap College of Technology per year is 18 students each for both the M. E courses, 60 each for MBA, MCA, B.E. Information technology and electrical engineering, 90 each for B. E Mechanical and computer science engineering and 120 for Electronics & Communication engineering.

Admission Procedure:

The college admits students to the B.E courses on the basis of the PET followed by online counseling organized by RGTU. For MBA course admission is done on the basis of the performance of the students in Management Aptitude Test and for MCA course, it is through Pre-MCA 2008 followed by online counseling organized by RGTU. The fee structure of all these courses are fixed by the college on the basis of norms set by Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Training & Placement cell:

A full-fledge training & placement cell is functioning under the college and this cell is headed by senior faculty member of the college.
