Maharshi Dayanand University conducts entrance exam each year for the selection of eligible candidates to its different courses. The admittance will be on the combined basis of academic merit and the performance in the University conducted entrance exam.

Structure of Maharshi Dayanand University M.Com Entrance Exam

The questions for the entrance exam will be of the standard of undergraduate programme which the candidates have pursued. The exam will have 100 objective type questions each carrying 1 mark. The candidates will be allotted 75 minutes with in which maximum number of questions has to be answered. There won’t be any negative marking.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have passed their B. Com or BBA from a recognized university are eligible to apply. Those with B.A qualification are also eligible provided they have studied Economics / Commerce / Marketing / Insurance as one of the compulsory subjects. The candidates should also have atleast 45% marks in aggregate.

How to Apply?

The application form accompanied with the information brochure of the entrance exam can be obtained from the In charge Publication Cell, M.D. University, Rohtak by cash payment of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 100/- in case of SC / BC candidates of Haryana only). The same can also be obtained via post by sending a request along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/BC of Haryana only).

The Information Brochure together with application form is also made available on cash payment at the Indira Gandhi PG Regional Centre, Meerpur, Rewari, Haryana and University Institute of Law and Management Studies, Sector 40, Gurgaon, Haryana. There is also a provision to download the application form from the official website of the University www.mdurohtak.ac.in for which the fee payment of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) has to be done through bank draft. The draft should be drawn in favor of the Finance Officer, M.D. University, Rohtak payable at State Bank of India, MDU Branch (Code 4734), Rohtak. The completed application form along with all the necessary enclosures have to be sent to Heads of Commerce Department, IGPGRC, Meerpur, Rewari.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates are recommended to go through the information brochure carefully before filling the application form. All the columns have to be filled up very cautiously in one’s own handwriting as indicated in the Information Brochure. The completed application has to be sent by registered post. On the top of the envelope write ‘Application for admission to M.Com’. The attested copies of certificates of all the examinations passed by the candidate from 10th Standard onwards other required documents and latest character certificate should be attached along with the application form. Also make sure that the application reaches the destination before the cutoff date.
