Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission otherwise called as APPSC is the public service commission working under the administrative control of the Government of Andhra Pradesh entrusted with the responsibility of making recruitments for different government job positions arising in this southern state of India.

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has called for applications from eligible candidates through online from 29th of May 2012 to 29th of June 2012 for recruitment to the position Manager (Engineering) under different discipline in Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Manager (Engineering) in Hyderabad Metropolitan & Sewerage Board

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 80, which is divided among the different disciplines for which Manager are required are given below:

1. Civil Engineering Branch – 58

2. Mechanical Engineering Branch – 06

3. Electrical Engineering Branch – 06

4. Electronics & Communication Engineering Branch - 05

5. Computer Science & Information Technology Branch - 05

Eligibility requirements:

Education: To apply for the position of Manager (Engineering) candidates must be degree holders in appropriate branches of engineering from a recognized university or its equivalent qualification as approved by the University Grants Commission.

Age: Lower age limit is 18 years and upper age limit is 36 years as on the 1st of July 2012, the upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is relaxable by five years and for PH candidates it is relaxable by 10 years and there is no age limit for board employees.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on performance of candidates in written test, which will be of objective type and tentative date of written test is 29th of July 2012. Written test will be held only in Hyderabad centre. Application fee:

All candidates inclusive of reserved category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.100 and unreserved category candidates will have to pay Rs.120 extra towards examination fee. The fee should be paid before the 27th of June 2012. For payment of fee, candidates will have to first logon to the website of www.apspsc.gov.in and should enter all his/her personal details and on entering the details, they can get downloadable challan form, which should be used for payment of fee either through AP online centers/SBI and on payment, they can get fee paid challan with journal number, which should be used when applying online.
